Black Widow Felted Necklace
Finally it feels like spring here and yet I'm busy felting and creating new "stuff" for the upcoming 2013/2014 Fall/Winter season. One of the new additions to the High Caliber Line will be OOAK Felted Jewelry. Keeping in the tongue in cheek tradition, I created "Black Widow". She's bold, (of course) and big, (of course again). After all, why wear it if you can't see it? She's comprised of 3 black felted balls which, (of course again) are embellished with lots of glitz to include hand sewn crystals, silver firestar, tulle, bamboo, tencel and finished off with a black lava bead and a huge black crystal spider with red crystal eyes. All this glitz and glam hangs from a black chain.

Black Gold Of The Sun Felted Vessel is a one of a kind art accessory for the home. I love adorning myself with fun and unique clothing and accessories, so it only makes sense to carry that love over into decorating my home. The colors are rich tones of gold, amber and black and the vessel is embellished with strands of black beads. Stay tuned for new one of a kind accessories for your home which will soon be available at my Shop. Just like my clothing, these home accessories will be a little bit quirky and full of texture and embellishments.

Here Comes " Not So Mellow Yellow"
"Not So Mellow Yellow" is my new hand felted tunic. She was made with soft merino wool, hand dyed yellow silk, black silk, black and white silk charmeuse in a graphic print, black tulle, bamboo top, various beads, wool nepps and black firestar. I think she's a little bold, vibrant, messy, fun, and maybe even a bit whacky. A lot like me, I guess!

Got the Winter Blues? How Color Can Change Your Mood
Got the winter blues ? Add some color and instantly alter your mood. Of course color is personal and often the way you feel about it is based on your own experiences, but studies show that certain colors do effect many of us in the same way. For example, yellow is thought to stimulate the nerves and purify the body. It is associated with the intellect and is thought to be uplifting. Need a little pick me up? Try adding some yellow to your wardrobe.
Orange is thought to encourage joy, socializing and optimism. Orange can surely chase away those winter blues. Need a little push to get out of the house? Try adding some orange to your wardrobe.
